Defined: Violence which arises out of disputes or adverse interpersonal relations between employees and employers in and around their place of employment

violence to occur, take all necessary precautions to protect yourself and your co-workers. Know or be aware of the typical profiles and make-up of offenders of workplace violence (i.e. robbery, rape, etc). An employer should ensure that each supervisor is trained to recognize problem areas in his/her workcenter. They should be aware of any histories that may be associated to an employee fitting the profile of a typical workplace violence offender.
