that telling us what to do cannot be far behind. The more I read of Friedman’s work the more I could see the America of today, and also the more I was sickened. This is what I feel should be challenged in the classroom. It’s slow and it’s subtle, but it is happening. It is exactly what each and every one of these writers feared would happen.
