There are many theories about what happened to the USS Maine in Havana, Cuba on the night of February 15, 1898. If I had to choose one, I would choose the right wing radicals, who the Americans probably didn’t have such a worry for compared to protecting Cuba against Spanish control. Yet again, these are just two of the many theories in the mysterious sinking of the USS Maine, yet there are a lot more that make just as much sense, and seem just as realistic.
