A wave of panic engulfed my entire being, my stomach tightened and sank, and my heart began to beat a mile a minute. I could feel it's pounding in my temples, resulting in a dizziness forcing me to drop the handset and fall to my knees. The only thing my mind would focus on is the shame I would bring to my father.
