The majority of personal strength is directly related to instinct that occurs in controversial situations, that engages our physical, mental and spiritual strengths. It is often said that pain and suffering can strengthen the character and spirit of a person many times beyond the regular growth of the human soul. I believe this to be very true. What does not kill us only makes us stronger.
