Spade, James Bond and Indian Jones. The film noir detective film is an excellent stylistic work because it’s visual style is similar to its story. Black & white photography was used back then like it no longer is to day. The cinematographer would play with the light and let the shadows tell the store as the enveloped the main characters face. The Big Sleep is a film a mystery and intrigue as well as beauty.
