David L Mosley from Goshen College, makes an interesting analysis linking the different styles of music founded in the story with the different situations and dialogues between the characters. Reading this analysis we understand that different music styles define ‘the different atmospheres’ found in the narrative.
In general, the atmosphere in that party is full of falsehood, irony, lies, frivolity, provocation,, resumed in one word – HYPOCRISY.
