In order to accomplish or gain something one normally has to pass a challenge that may require many different qualities. Throughout the short story, "Brothers Are The Same" by Beryl Markham, a young Masai boy, Temas, is in conflict with his own self-thoughts. …lion and the other venture through an underwater cave. It is also different in how each boy changes as a result of the test. Temas gets to become a warrior while Jerry just learns a lesson about life. They are similar though in how both boys need the same characteristics in order to accomplish the goals given to them. Even though these are two different stories one can see how they are similar and different.
