…was also very useful with a lot of detail. The Vicus (a civilian settlement) was a common settlement where the roman soldiers kept their bits on the side and that’s all we really know. The site is spoiled because a typical farmer built his house there. I think the soldiers did have a very comfortable life they had all the comforts of life and extras. The evidence supports it and does a good job.
