In an attempt to answer this question we used an array of resources.
Some of the resources include a visit to Housesteads Fort on the wall itself. Also we used writing and artefacts both from the roman era. In addition to that we studied a video on Hadrian’s wall and have been reading a leaflet on it.

The Vicus (a civilian settlement) was a common settlement where the roman soldiers kept their bits on the side and that’s all we really know. The site is spoiled because a typical farmer built his house there.
I think the soldiers did have a very comfortable life they had all the comforts of life and extras. The evidence supports it and does a good job.
