…direct fight with humanism versus the Church, the individuals who adopted the humanism philosophies succeeded in their objective of reformation. Martin Luther, through logic and reasoning, was able to convince others of the Church’s corruptness. Luther’s own religious ideas contained many humanistic beliefs. What would follow from Luther’s actions was a series of reformers all separating themselves from the Catholic Church. One man, and a little common sense, had changed history forever.
