The hero of Homer’s The Odyssey is Odysseus, the mythological Grecian subject of The Odyssey. Odysseus displays excessive amounts of brains and muscle, seeming almost superhuman at times. His journey was long and full of adventure, rich with people and places, and never going as planned. It is a life, full of the surprises and extremely unpredictable. Odysseus overcomes all his problems, giving hope to Telemachus, and shows Telemachus how to be a hero.
