OBJECTIVE: To build and fly paper airplanes so that you can practice
calculating speed and distance as well as learn a bit about designing an
airplane.
BACKGROUND: Before beginning this activity I already had my plane
pattern in my mind. I knew that my design would be basic but effective in
achieving maximum distance. This activity relates to our studies because
it requires us to apply the scientific method

completed this activity I can now determine
and calculate various speeds of anything that is moving. I also learned a
good bit about aerodynamics and interfering variables like a ceiling.
my results relate to the background of the experiment by proving my plane
design to be the “top dawgg” of ‘em all. I now know that speed is a very
simple thing to calculate, especially when you have a timing and
measuring device.
