The plot begins with King Duncan meeting a sergeant by a war. The sergeant tells the king about the war, he tells him about how Macbeth bravely fought and captured him. The King pronounces that Macbeth is to the Thane. Macbeth and Banquo come across the witches and they pridict that Macbeth will be Thane and also King.
