…a long and hard road to reach his highest point of brilliance, which according to himself, was East of Eden. Along this long journey, how Steinbeck wrote also changed dramatically. He started out writing unreal legends like Morte d’Arthur, but after years of hardwork, he finally developed his own style, of writing fictions in which story evolved directly out of the tension and conflicts between characters instead of having the characters supporting the story.
