Third Interpretive Sketch
Out of the entire book, I found the last third the most difficult to relate too. It wasn’t so much that the situations didn’t apply to me, but that they were pretty obscure. The Rivers’ kindness towards strangers was the first thing that struck me as something I could relate too. Although the situations would probably be different from being in the city, to up at my cottage, id like

The book was definitely one I couldn’t put down and it was the first real time I felt a connection to the character of the book. When you read a book about a person’ life, technically their story doesn’t end until the character dies. Jane’ story ends in the middle of her life, and if there was a book written about the remainder of her life, I wouldn’t hesitate to read it.
