Jane’s Conflicts
In the novel Jane Eyre, the main character Jane, develops disagreements with other
characters. As the novel proceeds, different types of friction arise. Charlotte Bronte uses these
several types of conflicts in Jane’s life-man versus man, man versus nature, and man versus
society, to develop and strengthen Jane’s character.

moment, they actually help her out in the long run. She learns to appreciate what she has,
and to cherish her husband and the people who loves her. By the end of the book Jane has
turned from a shy girl who does not like anybody, to an opinionated woman with values and morals.
