Over the years, people have set out in many different ways, to portray the brutal and unjust treatment of the men in governmental power toward the many Native American tribes and people. The director of the two films, “Incident at Ogala” and “Thunderheart”, is trying to release evidence of the largely corrupt justice system of the American Government that controls the lives of the Native Americans. It was harder to see the peoples’ anger and pain as they told their stories in a matter-of-fact style. The emotions displayed by the characters in “Thunderheart” allowed viewers to relate to each on a more personal level. The movie also allowed the actors that had personally experienced the incidents to express themselves dramatically instead of composing themselves for a documentary.
