of their emotions seemed hidden in order to match the image of a documentary. It was harder to see the peoples’ anger and pain as they told their stories in a matter-of-fact style. The emotions displayed by the characters in “Thunderheart” allowed viewers to relate to each on a more personal level. The movie also allowed the actors that had personally experienced the incidents to express themselves dramatically instead of composing themselves for a documentary.
