Fortinbras, although with a small part of the play, represents the only logical
person of action. He takes his time, unlike Laertes, and he uses that time wisely, unlike Hamlet. This is also the reason he is the only man of action that is alive by the end of the
play. Hamlet’s indecisiveness let to his death and Laertes’s inability to solve problems himself indirectly caused his own death.
