In Gulliver’s Travels the author Jonathan Swifts main satire are the people that
are in the government and other high office positions. Jonathan Swift idea is to satirize
the government officials by making them look ridiculous on the decisions they made. He
also shows in his work that these people have no business running a government and got
their jobs by coming from elite groups.

In conclusion, the main satire of the book is the royalty and the politicians who
run the country. Swift regularly insults these people in his book. He uses fictional
character to represent the people that he is satirizing which in this case are the politicians
and royalty because of the reason I had given.
