My first impression of Flavio’s Home was that it seemed to be a very sad story. It spoke of the horrors of poverty and Flavio’s strength to survive and even the courage to accept death without even thinking about himself but of his brothers and sisters. He saw this potential in Flavio and wanted to help him and give him the opportunity to be able to better his life. Flavio while being physically ill still remained strong in order to take care of his family and himself.
