Tolkien’s ability to provide such abundant descriptions and incorporate many different tangents of the history of each individual creature and land, really challenges the human imagination and the ability to interpret it all. I think this book is spectacular in the way it always makes you think and draws out such distinct ideals in your head. And that’s why I think it shares the quality of a Romance.
