…body starts to deteriorate Roderick begins to loose his mind because the mind cannot survive without the senses. And then after Roderick buried his senses alive they only came back to kill him at the end. With this ending of the Usher clan the House of Usher tumbles into the abyss of the “deep and dank tarn” as the narrator flees the house holding on to his own sanity only to remember what had happened.
