America began to expand itself once again. By trekking into foreign lands, crossing all 7 oceans and even creating a canal, America allowed itself to become the supreme country of the world. After working with trade in Asia, China and Japan, America attempted to gain control in countries in Latin and Central America. As time went by, through the late 1800’s and the early 1900’s, America expanded its borders, and became the “City on a Hill.”
