Does God Exist? Obviously the question is important. If there is a God to whom I owe allegiance, honor and respect, I would be a fool to ignore Him. Everything is just a meaningless collection of molecules bumping around. Theists believe that our personality and consciousness is derived from God’s. We can think, feel, and choose because our Creator designed us with those capacities. This means that people have value, and must be treated with respect.
