…Independence not only established the separation of the American colonies from England; it established the birth of a nation called the United States. The originators of the Declaration of Independence had proven a case for revolution. They based it on the natural rights of man in conjunction with establishing the injustices of a king. Based upon these two issues, the colonists were morally right and justified in their quest to replace an “illegitimately perceived” government.
