Throughout the play, “Death of a Salesman” by Arthur Miller, the characters of Willy and Biff have a complex relationship. As the play shifts from past to present time, we see an obvious difference between the relationship of Biff and Willy. his life in the hopes that Biff will be grateful for the life insurance that his family will receive. It turns out that the family receives no money because it was a suicide, and so ends the story.
Biff and Willy’s relationship was a complex one, with many turning points and major conflicts. It’s always a tragedy when such a strong relationship turns sour because of an incident that should have never happened.
