Today, ASL has blossomed to all corners of the world claiming the title of "most widely used signing" and is the third most used language in the U.S. An amazing accomplishment considering that it has not existed for more than a couple hundred years. But more importantly, it has help thousands and thousands of individuals lead rich and fulfilling lives without the need for the spoken word.
