DDT has been has now been banned for 30 years and a month. There are places in the United States that still have DDT in the surface water and in the soil. Luckily, the usage of DDT is no longer common in the industrialized world, and the use was stopped before the majestic birds that we take for granted disappeared from their natural habitat.
