today, that freedom is under attack. Private groups and public authorities
everywhere are working to remove both books and periodicals from sale, to
exclude certain books from public schools, to censor and silence magazines and
newspapers, and to limit controversial books and periodicals to the general
public. The suppression of reading materials is suppression of creative thought.

reverse roles. Society then becomes complicated and overwhelming. If people
other than our children’s parents tell them what to do, that’s wrong. The parents
need to raise their children the way that they want to. If parents do not feel the need
to regulate what their children listen to, then they are not ready to be a parent. Parenting
has responsibilities and people must learn to take on that role.
