…do not file complaints because they are scared. So how can these victims be helped? Usually, most people are unaware of the brutality that goes on in prisons so they cannot stop it. However, if citizens do know, they should demand their elected officials set stringent standards for hiring and training these police and correctional officers. Perhaps someday people will hopefully realize that prisoners and suspects are human too, and should be treated as such.
