battle of the movie. He wanted to motivate the army to fight like they had fought for William Wallace. Bruce says “you have bled with Wallace. Now it’s time to bleed with me!”. This really motivates the army, it even angers them because Wallace was tortured and executed not too long before this. For that battle I don’t think the Scottish army was fighting for freedom, I think they were fighting for Wallace.
