BEACH BURIAL
The picture, that I have drawn, is representing the poem âBeach Burialâ by Kenneth Slessor. In this picture I have concentrated on the lines â the convoys of dead sailors comeâ and âUnknown seaman - the ghostly pencil waver and fades, the purple dripsâ which is in the first and the fourth verse of this five verse poem.
In the poem âBeach Burialâ Slessor talks about how sailors and soldiers are shot and killed

In conclusion my picture was meant to show âthe convoy of dead sailors comeâ as well as âunknown seamanâ. Finally these two lines were a big part in the poem because they represented the amount of people who wasted their lives in war. Slessor in the end points out that now they are dead they are equal and are â enlisted on the other frontâ which means they are in heaven together.
