The evidence however is not solid and until hard proof like fossils on the Danakil Island are found then the aquatic ape hypothesis will remain a hypothesis. Elaine Morgan gave the public a new and exciting view of the aquatic ape hypothesis, if scientists follow Morgan’s lead they should be able to find the ‘missing link’ in Homo sapiens past.
