Angola used to be considered one of the most dangerous and bloodiest prisons in the United States until the mid-70's the federal courts regulated the prison to be safer. The population of the prison is currently at 5108 inmates. It sits on 18,000 acres of land in West Feliciana Parish. don’t think normal people can function after seeing another person die in front of them. That is the difference between the guards and the death row inmates.
After going to Angola and meeting some of the prisoners, I would seriously think about going back on my own and visiting some of the prisoners or just talking with them.
They are very interesting people and I think that they need some human contact.
