they know it is real. There are no illusions. These men are experiencing hell at it’s worst on a daily basis. Often times the things that men see in battle can destroy their lives forever. Upon returning home many can’t get past the nightmares, flashbacks, and the sadness. However, this disillusionment is also what keeps many men on their toes, constantly wary of their surroundings, and ultimately keeps them alive in the trenches.
