America, like any other nation, has always relied heavily on agriculture. Differing from other nations, however, is the problems that agriculture has created through America’s brief history. …that. In essence it is a moral dilemma, of the ends justifying the means. In the late 19th century farmers struggled to get by. Some of the farmer’s complaints, such as those against the railroads were reasonable. Others, such as the farmer’s urging of the issue of silver money, were not so reasonable. Even so, the farmers prevailed through these problems and continue to support our nation’s food supply to this day.
